Structured Approach to Industry and School Programs

We're undertaking research to assess the current landscape of industry and school work experience and work placement programs across the Hospitality and Tourism sectors.

Project Overview

Through consultation with industry, government and training providers, stakeholders highlighted the importance of career pathway programs and connection with schools in enhancing and attracting a domestic pipeline to the Hospitality and Tourism sectors. Stakeholders also noted that many employers have not yet engaged with the VET sector for training but see a significant opportunity to partner with VET providers to deliver training and promote future career pathways.

SaCSA has undertaken research to assess the current landscape of industry and schoolwork experience and work placement programs across jurisdictions. This research aims to identify gaps which could help strengthen industry and school connection by improving opportunities and career pathways in the hospitality and tourism sector through structured industry approach to school programs.
