Hospitality
Powering Australia’s world-class food, beverage and accommodation experiences with a skilled and adaptable workforce.
About
Australia’s hospitality workforce is a cornerstone of the service economy, spanning restaurants, cafés, bars, hotels, resorts, event venues, and catering services. It is a diverse, customer-focused industry that provides roles ranging from food and beverage service, barista work, bartending and front-of-house operations to commercial cookery, patisserie, event management, and accommodation services.
The sector is evolving rapidly in response to changing consumer expectations, a growing focus on high-quality and personalised service, and the integration of technology – from digital ordering platforms to automated booking and payment systems. The workforce is also adapting to new trends such as sustainable sourcing, plant-based menus, and the blending of hospitality and tourism experiences.
