Arts

From performing and visual arts to design, writing, digital games, screen and music, the arts industry is home to a diverse and dynamic workforce that plays a vital role in shaping Australian culture.

About

Australia’s Arts sector is a vibrant and diverse workforce, encompassing everything from independent creatives and small business owners to employees in major cultural institutions and large commercial enterprises.

The sector continues to evolve as new technologies, audience expectations and ways of working reshape how art is created, shared and experienced. While all subsectors share some common workforce challenges, employment conditions can vary.

SaCSA is working with industry, unions, training providers and government to better understand these issues and to support the development of a resilient, sustainable and future-ready Arts workforce.
